"Good News of Great Joy"

Heavenly songs permeate the air
With lasting message of good cheer
Reaching the skies, across the earth,
Oh, what a joy to hear!

One holy night, long time ago
While shepherds watched their flocks
An angel appeared, sent from above
And stars shone ever so bright.

“Joy to the world a child is born
He’s Jesus Christ our Lord,”
Sweet melody in harmony
Angels sang in one accord.

A star appeared, one silent night
In town of Bethlehem
Angelic hosts sang songs of praise
“Peace on earth, good will to men.”

Heavenly songs permeate my soul
Stirring my heart with utmost joy,
A silent prayer, and humble poem
I offer you my all and all.

The greatest story has been told
For all of us to hear ,
So give your heart, and spread your love
For Christmas time is here.
