"Our New Beginning"

We always think of New Year’s Day as the time to ‘begin anew’. We anticipate a New Year filled with opportunities and new beginnings, a fresh start.

Ah, but Christmas provides the ‘real’ new beginning! Jesus’ birth signals a re-birth for all of us. Jesus was sent by God to allow us to be forgiven and to have the opportunity to live forever with Him after our earthly lives are over – THAT is a new beginning!

Not only do we have the offer of eternal life by accepting Jesus, but we have the assurance of our Father’s love being with us always. That means that no matter what we experience and endure we will never be alone! God, who knows what is best for us, will pave the way and walk with us over the rocky paths in life. He will give us the strength we need and when that isn’t enough, He will carry us.

This Christmas, let us rejoice over our new beginning and ask God to bless our lives and those of our loved ones. May we reach out and claim our new life that is all wrapped up in a little baby born in Bethlehem.

A new year is coming, a fresh new start…
But it’s not a special day - it begins within our hearts.
The Babe born in Bethlehem is truly The Way
To a new life in Him that can start TODAY.

So reach out in faith, get ready to live
For God has a wondrous gift to give -
Eternal life for everyone
Who will accept and love His Son!

REJOICE… this gift is waiting for us!
If we believe in God’s Son and trust
He will lead us each step of the way
And a whole new life can begin TODAY!
